Birdy equipped with 36V Li-Ion System is incredibly powerful and fast.
I replaced 24V NiMH battery on my Birdy with new 36V Li-Ion battery pack (the same box size!) and what a difference!  I was reaching with ease the max legal speed (32 km/h - 20 mph) and even going over it when I turned the speed limiter off. This is quite a difference considering that with a 24V Battery the BionX Motor was able to deliver only up to 21 km/h on Birdy's 18" wheels.  Now we are in par with big guys, i.e. 26" and 700c wheels!
... and we can go uphil even without pedaling, just for fun ...
